A new, independent film company founded in Vancouver, Canada and dedicated to exploring the boundaries of storytelling in today’s transnational era.

With team members and collaborators across Berlin, Los Angeles, Shanghai, and London, we create and distribute visionary films that resonate globally, offering nuanced, intimate stories that explore the complexities of human experience.

BERYL LIU         

PARTNER 

a Los Angeles based Canadian actress and producer, Beryl is a recently graduate of the  MFA Acting program from the University of Southern California and studied acting under Natsuko Ohama, David Warshofsky, Kate Burton, Louis Colaianni and Andy Robinson. She completed her BA degree from McGill University and her graduate studies in Film & Theatre at New York University. Beryl produced A KIND OF CRIME (2021) directed by Jason Adam Maselle, and CORPSE POSE (2021) directed by Cynthia Zhou & Alieen Wu. Beryl’s theater credits include “A Conduct of Life” by María Irene Fornés, Hermonie in Shakespeare’s Winter tale, and Wang Min in “Caught” by Christopher Chen. Recently she is Nurse Wang-Xiaoyu in NEITHER DONKEY NOR HORSE  (2024) directed by Robin Wang which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and has recently received a Student Academy Award. Beryl's film credits include RÊVERIE 11:12 (2019), LAST I SEE YOU NOT (2024), and RENDEZVOUS (2021). Beryl's latest project, Last Time, Again, is a Polish Co-Production feature in development and is selected as one of twelve projects in the 13th La Biennale College Cinema Program in Venice.

YUNNAN (EMMA) XU  PARTNER 

a New York, Chengdu and Xiamen based producer, actress, and sharing artist. She has produced a variety of short films and theater works worldwide, and has been instrumental in organizing global conferences and festivals. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dramatic Arts, focusing on acting, and a Master of Arts in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. Her professional roles include serving as the Co-founded of ACIST, Festival Coordinator for the Cannes Film Festival's "Fang Ke," Co-founder of BoLi Arts, Artistic Producer of Yun Theater, and Executive Manager of Wanju Playground. Her producer credits include RÊVERIE 11:12 (2019), LAST I SEE YOU NOT (2024), and RENDEZVOUS (2021). Emma advocates for the arts as a reflection of life, emphasizing their return to individuals, and supports cross-disciplinary collaboration.

XUEDAN (ECHO) TANG    

PARTNER 

Berlin-based film curator and arts manager from Chengdu, China. She holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in Arts Management, having studied in Shanghai, New York, and London. After graduation, she worked as a producer in Beijing, producing a series of documentaries and short films across China.

In 2021, she was awarded the German Chancellor Fellowship and relocated to Berlin. Embracing her multifaceted interests in cinema, feminism, and socially engaged practices, she founded CiLENS in 2022, a Sinophone film curation initiative that embodies these passions. As CiLENS evolved, she established and led Indie Chinese Cinema Week (ICCW) as its flagship project, successfully securing funding from the Berlin Senate of Culture for its second edition.
